I have B-day, but not 100:) The rest is true, so I would like to celebrate this with you!

A few words about me:

I'm from Poland and quite new in blog world, but from the very beginning I try to translate my posts into English. I follow lots of international blogs to admire your works and to learn new things. But... I'm still beginner. When I found Flickr my quilting adventure become even more interesting - there is soooo many inspiration, plenty of gorgeous works, many craft opportunities (swaps, bees) and (last, but not least!) absolutely great people!

    I don't know if this is my "best" work (because there is one HUGE error I wish I could fix!), but it is certainly my favorite, and it's incredibly special to me and to my friend that I gave it to.

    It's a little collaborative/commemorative mini-quilt that I made along with other members of the LA Modern Quilt Guild. I had them sign their names on strips of fabric, then I embroidered over them, and pieced it, quilted it, made a header similar to the LAMQG logo, and gave it to my friend. I was a member of the LAMQG, and I had to move away, and my friend is a member, and she'll be moving away, soon, too. So this is a special piece between the two of us.

    Congratulations on all the milestones! I have only been blogging for about a year, but you are correct--there are many people who make beautiful crafts and show them online. I love that you are from Poland and can communicate with a translator. thank you for offering such a wonderful selection of fabrics. I think this is my best work because I learned how to sew in zippers and I also figured out how to line the bags with vinyl so that they would be waterproof. Many mistakes later, here is the final product:

So can't post a comment for your first entry. However, I am now a follower via GFC. I lived in Heideberg, Germany for 7 years and just moved back to the US in July 2008.
