Snowflake block pattern

The next block pattern in Last minute Christmas Sampler QAL is Snowflake. I just couldn't imagine Christmas quilt without a snowflake. Although it's a symbol of winter, it could be as well more festive - everything depends on the fabric selection (my block looks now more like a spring block, but I plan to make some special hand stitches on it).

/ Kolejnym blokiem w ramach Last minute Christmas Sampler QAL jest Śnieżynka.

It's at intermediate level. There are 17 pieces (A-Q), but most of them are quite simple to piece. Each piece should be firstly paper-pieced separately and then joined together. Piecing the parts together could be a little more challenging comparing to the previous block. There's a hexagon in the middle and the task is to match the pieces nicely. There are no single pieces (without any stitches) in this block.

Fabric requirements
For snowflake you won't use a lot of fabric (scraps will be great). You need less than FQ for background.

/ Do uszycia śnieżynki potrzebne będą skrawki (na samą śnieżynkę), na tło zużyjecie mniej niż FQ.

Scheme and pdf dowload
Here's the scheme of Snowflake block (ready block and then piecing scheme):

/ Tak wygląda schemat (pierwszy to schemat obrazujący blok po zszyciu, a drugi instrukcja zszywania poszczególnych części):

The pattern is available on Google Drive HERE.
Please make sure you print it at 100% scale.

/ Można ściągnąć gotowe "papierki" do szycia z dysku Google TUTAJ.
Drukarka powinna być ustawiona na 100%.

  8. Hello, I love this pattern and was planning on stitching it today, but I just checked my email and I had a message telling me that there was a new version. I can't work out where the difference is, so I was wondering if you could tell me if I need to print the pattern pieces again or not. Thanks.

    1. I updated the pattern, before it was even published (so for sure you've got the right pdf file!). I don't know why Craftsy send this message:(

  9. Thanks for explaining, Julianna. I also went to see what had changed, but didn't see a difference. Figured it was a Craftsy glitch and chose to ignore the message after that. Good to know for future reference, that it sends notification for even updating a link from the pattern to your blog.
