Border Butterflies free pattern

When Katarina Roccella asked me to take part in Indelible blog hop feauturing her first line for Art Gallery fabrics, I already knew the prints from this collection from the sneak-peaks on her Flickrstream and AGF website. I just knew that I have to be a part of it. We both share the love for purple and Indelible collection has some amazing prints in this color (and butterflies and lace and deers which I love probably even more!).
I immediately knew that I have to piece something with butterflies. I draw a simple paper-piecing pattern to show the best (in my opinion:) print from this collection: Doiland Gloss Plum. But I didn't think about cutting out this print, but about making from it a centre part of the quilt. With paper-pieced butterflies border as an addition.
And I thought that I should share with you a free paper-piecing pattern, just because it was a while since I shared the last one. So please meet Border Butterflies:

OK, and now the moment of truth: I pieced only half of the blocks needed for lap quilt for my little sweetie and I'm out of some fabrics! I ordered more, but I don't have them yet. Meanwhile, I will show you how my quilt should look like when I'll finish it:

(this is one multiplicated image:)

And these are real photos of it:

Border Buterrflies - instruction
Border Butterflies paper-pieced block measures approx. 7" x 9" finished (except block for the corners which measures approx. 9" x 9"). This size is perfect to finish any wholecloth quilt. Just cut the center part as a multiple of 9".

For example baby quilt could have 3 blocks + 2 corners at the top and bottom rows and 4 blocks at the sides. Such quilt measures approx. 45" x 54" (+ optional outer border from print used at the top of butterflies). Lap quilt could consist of 4 blocks + 2 corners at the top and bottom rows and 5 blocks at the sides - total measurement will be approx. 54" x 63" (without outer border). And so on.

To avoid using Y-seams in this pattern or complicated piecing of corner butterflies, height of corner blocks and the main blocks is different. Main block height is 7" and corner block height is 9". Therefore after piecing all basic blocks of the top row, you will have to add a strip (2 1/2" height) and then piece corner butterflies to the row. The same have to be done with bottom row. Here's the scheme of piecing blocks and center together:

Fabric requirements
The amount of the fabric you will need depends on the size of the quilt you would like to piece. Therefore I don't give any fabric requirements.

    1. It turns out that after Craftsy become Bluprint most of my free patterns were deleted:( I need to figure out another website where I could put my free patterns for downloads (in the past people were complaining about Google docs - they have troubles with downloads and then I started using Craftsy).

    2. I'm sorry Craftsy deleted your patterns. :( I've misplaced some of my downloads and have been disappointed as to not be able to relocate them on that platform. Can you please add this pattern for your beautiful pieced border to Google Drive? I've downloaded some of your other patterns from there and it worked well.
